there is no mention of arrows in ymr class is it safe to assume blazers would be legal ?
also the rules state ymr 15-17 shoot from the green stake 45yds ?, yet adult hc class shoots from yellow 35 yds, all other ymr except cub and ytrd shoot from yellow is this accurate or mistake ??

Yes, blazers are legal in ymr classes. They do not have vane restrictions.
Yes, YMR 15-17 shoot 45 yard approx from the green stake, that is not a mistake. Take a look at their scores, they handle the distance just fine.

thanks, my boys are interested just trying to figure out the rules, still seems odd that age group having 45 while HC has 35 yrd max.

RE: rules

I'll second that there is no vane restrictions...

The equipment for this class is wide open, just like the open class when they hit 18. Most of the guys are shooting open classequipment already and to hold them to the 35 yard max would realy drive the score thru the roof and not prepare them for the next step of MBO. Look at the scores from the cub class and 13/14's. One was 436for a 40 target course.

Now there is nothing saying your boys can't shoot hunter class with the 35 yard distance as long as they use the proper equipment as it is an equipment based class and not age. This give them the comfort of getting use to the yardage in steps and they can step up with what ever equipment they like when they are ready.
