Grains per pound rule
I'm trying to understand the new grains per pound rule, and I need some clarification. We used to have 5 grains for scale differences and 2 poundsat max peak weight, 82 lbs instead of 80lbs.Now it says 2 pounds of draw weight variance will be allowed, and the grain allowance has been removed.
My question is, do we now only have one variance, thatbeing 82 lbs instead of 80? If so, then in my opinion, we don't have a variance that helps withscale differences.
Or can I look at it as now I've got ten grains instead of 5.
I'm not comlaining about the rule I just want to be incomliance with it.

RE: Grains per pound rule
Actually the way it had been written, you could have either one but not both. There was a possibility that you could have been legal one way and not the other. With the new wording it eliminates that possibility. You are allowed a 2lb varriance. (2lb x 5gr/lb = 10grain) In away, the grain reference was increased from 5gr to 10gr to balance the equation. Thedouble wording was removed because too many people felt that they got that allowance on both sides of the scale.
