Very lucky today
 

The luckiest day I've had in a long time. Went out this afternoon to get in a little late season bow hunting and had a real close call. Took a climbing stand with me and did not check it over before I started up the tree.Got 8-10 feet up the tree and a woren lock pin broke and I made a very fast trip to a sudden stop. Other than being very stiff and sore I came out of it alright. The lesson learned is CHECK OUT THOSE STANDS BEFORE YOU CLIMB. Everybody take care and have a HAPPY HOLIDAY SEASON. please tell us the sudden stop was the result of a funtioning fall restraint/safety device.......:eek:
