2in blazers
 

me and my cousin have been wondering why people shoot the 2in blazers. it seems that the guys that shoot comptiton shoot the 2in blazers and use a hand release instead of wrist release. does anybody know why.

Marshman, I do not know if the 2 inch Blazer is the choice of the better shooters or not. The hand held releases are a form thing. Greater accuracy is why folks shoot a pure back tension release or a thumb activated release that is shot like a back tension release. The wrist strap releases are set off with a trigger finger that can get "itchy"and you will punch the trigger. This can turn into a bad habit and is very difficult to break. Hope this helps. Pete

It is may understanding that blazer vanes where made to help tune broadheads. If you want to shoot bohning vanes for 3d then they (Bohning) will tell you that the one of choice by there shooters is the mini blazer which is only 1.5 inches long. Alot of shooters I know don't like bohning vanes because the are stiff and get messed up easily. Hope you can use this info.

I don't know about blazers getting messed up easily. In my experience, they're as tough as nails. The only way you're gonna mess one up is a direct hit. They don't tear or ripple up easilylike most vanes. The only reason I shoot them for 3D is because I use them for hunting too, and I use the same gear.

I SHOOT 2" BLAZERS WITH A RECURVE AND A TRAPDOOR REST WITH FINGERS , IN THE IBO AND NFAA, THEY SEEM TO WORK WITH WE.
