Well guysI was blessed with being in the first group on the course Friday, and what can I say. The lighting was good (Much better than expected)
. The heat was on.
The shoot was excellent except... the targets. It's like target technology has gone back 8 years. The targets were hard to pull. I shot a turkey in the 10 ring (In the tail feathers) and my arrow passed through a brand new target, not a single hole. Many of the targets were falling apart as we pulled our arrows.
Great job running the shoot, but the targets left something to be desired.
If anyone shot the course later in the day I would like to hear about the condition of the targets.

we were blessed with being the second group out and as long as we dipped our arrows we had no problems at all. the targets held up well and the lighting was good. the heat was on but was cold in the area.
as always parma did a great job. we were told that they were moved into this area late thursday, we were to be downstairs was our understanding, but we had a great time and will be back next year.
could use a little more yardage on the targets but as said all in all had a great time. keep it going

I have some complaints about the Indoor World. I'm not sure who is responsible but i would like to voice my complaints none the less. Saturday I arrived early, I shoot on sunday morning, in hopes of practicing a little bit. I hadn't finished sighting in at 40 yards because it has been cold at home and we don't have a place to shoot that far indoors. So I figured I would arrive early and shoot a little bit. I went into the convention center and found where the shoot was located, and I needed to renew my membership, which I did. Then I walked back out to my car and got my bow. I went back into the convention center and got my bow out and was ready to go to the practice bags. I got over there and was about to shoot when someone informed me that you could only practice right before you went out on the range. So I asked him there is no other place to practice? and his response was no. I don't quite comprehend this. How can a national shoot only have four practice bags? How can they only be used right before you go on the range? This is ridiculous! Well I can assure one thing I will not be back to Cleveland for the indoor world!

Well, this is my 4th year to Cleveland, and I must say it was the best I've seen it. The lighting was GREAT and the atmosphere was perfect. I was downstairs at the sports show and they had a deal going with cars testing rpm's, you couldn't even talk to the vendors it was so loud. If the shoot would have been in the lower level as usual, I don't think we would of even heard the announcer. It was quite peaceful up on the second level. It was kind of cold up there but I'm not going to complain about that, as everything else was wonderful. Parma, as usual, did a great job! I hope we shoot up there again next year.

I agree that there should definitely be anadditional practice area other than right before you step onto the course. With the huge amountof area behind and adjacent to the range, an open practice range could have easily been set up to allow shooters an unlimited amount of practice before their shoot time. I heard several archers comment that they would greatly appreciate additional practice time other than 3 arrows before they have to take the course. Most archershave a substantial amountof travel timeto get to the shoot and some additional warm-up time wouldhelp a lot.I also heard several archers complain that for $50, they would appreciate some kind of small item to remember the shoot by (hat, pin, t-shirt, mug, etc). Anything would be better than the same tired oldIBO stickers from last year. I think that overall, this was a very goodshoot and a substantial improvement from last year. However, a few small steps could make this shoot one of the best in the country.

This was my first trip to the indoor world. I think it would be much better if there was a practice area set up to shoot your bow prior to the competition. I will be back but will be better prepared.

You hear that IBO?!?
This is the #1 complaint of everyone that i have talked to. we need an open practice area to get ready. 3 shots and go is not acceptable and is hurting the image of the indoor world. there is plenty of area at the IX center to set up practice butts. just hope you do something about it.....

Posting this for a friend: Thought the lighting was better this year very much improved as for the lighting - it was a little cool but 1/2 way was good.
Question: How does the payout for the MBR class work? I seem to have a very disappointed champion on my hands in Illinois.
