Anyone know of any recalls for the 1996 Mustang? I talked to a woman whose Mustang had a recall due to failure of the timing cover. Seems some of the 3.8 litre V-6 were prone to cracks. My son has one exactly like hers and she claims it was repaired after cracking and she received a recall notice soon after notifying her of possible failures.

There have been 3 recalls on the '96 Mustang. one is on the hood seperating, one is on the parking brake, and the 3rd is on... I forgot, but it wasn't the timing cover. www.nhtsa.dot.gov .
If there has been one and wasn't on this list, and you had it repaired then a recall came out you get a refund of the money you paid. Thats what happened with my Camaro in the 80's. 6 months after repairing my seatbelt there was a recall on that type of problem, I filled out a form and got a refund.

Forget the NHTSA site, their info is vague. Your best bet ids to go to
http://www.alldata.com/recalls/index.html
This is the place most auto shops get their info. You can get the TSB titlss for free, but must pay a subscriber fee for the full text.
Or you can post the problem on this website
http://www.batauto.com/cgi-bin/Forum...name=domestics
If you post here in detail as to your problem, they can get the full text of the TSB and post a reply.
Any others with auto problems, this Batauto site is the best. Good Luck

Anyone have thoughts on choosing an auto mechanics program available in Atlanta. I want to do some online courses for my professional knowledge so I tried making contact with auto body or auto mechanics shop for internship but they asked me to do a certification course before offering job.
