Here's a shot of a water fountain at one of the nearby parks, not 10 minutes from my house. i brought my Nikon D3500 with me on a tripod, and used the "kit" lens, the original 18-55mm small zoom. I slowed the shutter down to 1/8 and carefully took this photo.

To get the most out of the cameras it was necessary to have a good tripods...

At first she tried "popularly priced" tripods and was having trouble with vibration. Now there is a selection of different Manfrotto legs and heads here, and the vibration issues have largely gone away. Good tripods also help significantly with using a spotting scope.
