Default Miracle whip vs mayonnaise

I guess it's probably cause I was raised using miracle whip. But, I cannot stand the taste of mayonnaise. When I occasionally swing by a Subway I'm always at a loss of what to put on my sandwhich.

Very few places around here carry miracle whip. But that's my go to sandwhich spread.

Depends
Tuna salad i mix them together
Burgers i prefer real Hellmann's mayo
Sammies i lean towards Miracle Whip but mayo is great on good roast beef too.

You need to try Kewpie mayo from Japan if you prefer Miracle Whip.

I was at the Diner the other morning and asked for two BLT's with Mayo. I noticed it was taking a long time and some guys who had ordered after me had already been served. I finally asked the Cook what was taking so long, he said have a little patience I'm making it with love, "I said well yank it out of there I asked for Mayonnaise." Three guys on either side of me at the counter spit part of their breakfast across the counter when they busted out laughing.

I don't like miracle whip, too sweet. Quality mayo for me. My wife likes miracle whip for macaroni salad, but we don't buy it because that would be the only thing we used it for and it would get too old to use sitting in the fridge.

GM, is the Japanese mayo something sold in stores or does it have to be special ordered somewhere?

It is very easy to make your own Mayonnaise, egg yokes, lemon juice a little mustard and olive oil whizzed in a food processor or an immersion blender. Better than you will ever buy.

Mayo all the way. Wife likes Kraft the best but I like Hellmans. Throw in a little horse radish and you have a great dressing for sammies.

Mostly a specialty market item. Pretty much any Asian market should have it. You can get it on Amazon and Walmart too.

I think a lot of the choice depends on what you grew up with, like a lot of other things. I'll never had Japanese mayo and will have to try it.

I like being able to post the word "Japanese." Until Sachiko complained that she could post the word for her ancestors due to a partial-word restriction, we couldn't use the word without having it blocked out by the website filter. So here's to Sachiko and her hubby cr422. Hope you guys are enjoying Japan.
