Default Former pug

When I was much younger I was sometimes identified as a "pug", and I hung out with other pugs in poorly lit and sweaty places. That all stopped sometime in my 20's when I literally outgrew the lifestyle. Ah, the silliness of youth!

Note: "Pug" is short (slang) for pugilist.

I was a bouncer in a Music club for a couple of years. The club was owned by a Police lieutenant who also owned a security company. I was trained by an Okinawan who taught Krav Maga before anybody ever heard of Krav Maga.
The most dangerous guys in the club were invariably the college jocks. They'd come in packs and fought in packs. The bikers, the toughs and others were a lot less trouble. I stopped judging a book by it's cover along time ago, if I can trust them with my kids, my wife and my stuff they are OK in my book, no matter what their lifestyle is or how they looked.
The job lost it's allure in my mid twenties. I guess I grew up.

I wouldn't have made a good Pug... I'm tall, skinny, and allergic to pain...

So was Sugar Ray Leonard, 36-3-1 He finally had to quit because he damaged an eye. It isn't the size of the dog in the fight it is the size if the fight in the dog.

I used to love watching Sugar Ray go into his flurry... He was as quick as a cat...
