Finally a deck night
#1

Beautiful day today and the ice is gone. The lake is dead calm and the ducks and geese are all over the place. I just heard a loon call and heard some gobbling this morning up on the hill. The youngest daughter and her family are coming over for some steaks on the grill. Windows are open, the heat is off and the chairs are on the deck. I just opened a bottle of Chardonnay and it is spring at last.

As warm and sunny with warm temps as yesterday was, today was a bust. It rained and stayed cloudy and was in the 40's all day. The fishing boat is ready and one way or another I'll be fishing tomorrow. I just hope the wind stays down. Jim, I haven't caught a crappie since ice fishing ended 2 weeks ago and look forward to getting a few slabs on open water. Nice to see you are still around.

Looks like you're getting the same weather we had the next day. I'll betcha it clears up, gets sunny and turns warmer towards afternoon. That's exactly what happened here.

Cold and rainy today and it is the turkey season opener. I set up at 4:30 am in the dark and got my bird at 6:00am.
20.61 pounds
1" spurs
9 1/8" beard
Day 2 was a bust. I called in 4 but they were all jakes. A couple had 5-6" beards but were immature
