The Republican legislator and rancher from Recluse, in northeast Wyoming, leads the International Equine Business Association and has promoted and proposed operating horse slaughter plants in Wyoming and Missouri. She doesn't think
Congress will follow the budget recommendation of Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to ban such slaughter.
"The word that we hear is that directive was coming straight out of the White House, which is the only explanation for the Department of Agriculture to be doing something as anti-agriculture as that," Wallis said Thursday.

Chuck I'd sent you a roast; but I cut the back strap into steaks and everything gets either ground up for sausage or cut up for stew meat.. I'll send you a roast next year, it might be a little smelly by the time it gets there.
