Hey folks. Haven't been around in a while, so I figured I would share my blackpowder kill from yesterdays opener. He's actually an 11 with a small kicker.

I've been bowhunting him for quite some time now, and it figures I would take him on the opener of muzzleloader season......at 20 yards..lol. Damn, I would have loved to stick him.

In any case...I'm happy. He'll make a nice mount.

You seem to pull some decent pigs out of there. Good job. I shot another sika myself on Monday. Missed a great 8pt on Sat.

Good job.

Thanks guys. ...and congrats on both your sika big.

I've taken a few decent bucks in the past few years....though before three years ago, I was dry for a very long time. Just couldn't make the connection. The pressure on public land is insane to say the least.

Congratulations! That is a very fine looking buck. You should be very proud. Deer that have lived that long are very smart.

Muzzleloading season starts next week here. I'm hoping to be able to get out a little bit. I have a %0 caliber, Hawken style muzzleloader. It's my favorite gun. It's heavy for me, but no recoil hardly at all. Michelle is still nursing on a regular schedule during the day so I can't stay away from her too long, but we might get some time.

you sure do come up with some dandy bucks up there in NJ. Nice backdrop to your pic too.
