I've had a deep seated dislike of the NYdernYankees
for the biggest part of my life but have always
admired Steinbrenner. DernYankee fans were blessed
to have had him and from what I understand he was
quite generous in many other areas.

There are plenty of people who didn't like him, but he paid a whole lot of people a whole LOT of money over the years. Many of those people probably would have been earning next to nothing if he hadn't put them on his payroll. I guess people hated him because he was wealthy, but he sure helped many others get rich also. Can't put a guy down for that.
