Default RIP George Steinbrenner

http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2010/0...-heart-attack/

I've had a deep seated dislike of the NYdernYankees
for the biggest part of my life but have always
admired Steinbrenner. DernYankee fans were blessed
to have had him and from what I understand he was
quite generous in many other areas.

There are plenty of people who didn't like him, but he paid a whole lot of people a whole LOT of money over the years. Many of those people probably would have been earning next to nothing if he hadn't put them on his payroll. I guess people hated him because he was wealthy, but he sure helped many others get rich also. Can't put a guy down for that.

I didn't care for him but do like the team. I didn't think all his decisions were in the best interests of the team.

No. One of his sons has been running the show for a few years now.

Yeah, his kids will run it. Since he died in 2010... No estate tax. If he had died last year, or next year, they might very well have had to sell in order to pay the estate taxes...
