Wow. John Wayne's house is little, but cute.Hardly seems big enoughto have heldhim!

I got to go to my first Cabela's last month, in Yelm, Washington. I could have spent all day there!

and this was our destination...Diamondville & Kemmerer are two towns that are melded into one. They share a high school, and I think they share a city council. My friend from college grew up there. She lives in Seattle, but, the rest of her family still lives there.
I had never been there, but, her family kept inviting us out there. So my daughters & I decided that that was where we would go for our vacation after I finished nursing school.
My friends sister had dealt with their parents illnesses for 8 years. Their Dad passed first. Their Mom passed just before we got there. They closed up their elk camp to take care of her passing. It was actually good timing for us to be there for them. We were able to pitch in & help with cooking, cleaning. They also fit in all kinds of sight seeing for us.
We hope to go back next year for hunting. That's the plan anyhoo
Check out the population. We came to find out that this is a pretty big town in Wyoming. Lots of smaller towns we drove through.

LOL...that's exactly what I thought. They make more of a big deal out of the novel 'Madison County Bridges' than they do of his home. I thought they should center the town around him. What do I know? I guess Americana is outdated?[&:]

The Cabela's you saw was probably better than the one in Sidney. I've seen better ones that are newer. But, they are like a museum. I agree, I could spend all day in one too.

One more pic before I get back to studying for my State Boards (Dec. 8th)

We saw a ton of these windmills & quite a few trucks hauling the parts for them while we were on the road. Looks like there is a lot of $$ from T.Bone being put into this project.
