I'm a student of outdoor writing and was wondering what you like about the magazine. Does it inform you about public land. I get a few northeast based magazines and was wondering how you think this is a better magazine? I little feedback would be great! I'm doing a little research as to what the sportsman ( average man ) really want. I myself dislike the advertising, but it helps keep the magazines running. I do like a magazine that I can relate to or about places I've been. Any feedback would be helpful. Thank you.

A good way to get in the habit of outdoor writing is to re-read what you write/type and make sure you use the correct rules of grammar. Saves you time, and embarassment later. Also, do not begin sentences back to back with the same word (I, I'm). Don't think I am being an A$$, because I make the same mistakes all the time. Just having someone else look over your work can make the difference. Also, stepping back for a few minutes, then returning, will allow you to spot errors. Good outdoor writers are few and far between. A ton of writers are edited heavily. The ones who aren't are the ones who make the best of their fortune. |

Thanks for the feedback!!! Yes, you are right about advertising. Count the pages of advertising in most issues. It's a very high ratio. Come on Viagra ads, please. These ads have nothing to do with outdoor sports.LOL Also, I'm a student. My spelling and grammar can be checked with the click of a button. I know the morals of outdoor writing, and the manner in which it is written. I'm looking at what the average joe sportsman is looking for. You know the guy who makes up 90% of the outdoorsmen.
