Eastern Shore Land Lease How Much $$$
 

How much are you paying to lease land on the eastern shore ( just for deer hunting). Our hunting club just got there lease and it went from $6.00 an acre last year to $10.00 an acre this year.
I guess if we want to dance we have to pay the fiddler.

My friend at work leases on the eastern shore, and he pays ........are you ready for this..$24 an acre!!! $6000 for $250 acres!!!! hes nuts!!! And on top of that, that price is just for deer, if he wants to go down and goose hunt, its $25/day per person!!!! What a rip off!!!

I pay my farmer friend with dead dear...He's delighted every time I drag another corn muncher in...

It might not be in our life times but one day the average working man will not be able to afford to hunt on private land.... Hunting will be for the rich... Public land will be so over crowded that it will be by permit only....

I've hunted some very small farms on Maryland E. Shore for over 20yrs. Fantastic hunting! The biggest/best farms over there are gobbled up by the fat cats in Annapolis,Balt,Wash DC,Phil area. They have the big bucks to pay the outrageous prices. Its hard for locals to compete with that kind of money. If you can find a farmer like cyclone did that you can pay with "dead deer" - your in like flint.
