Bow only counties of WV....

Any of you WV boys want to share some info on public land in the bow only counties with an out of stater?

Doing a little research for a hunt and would like more info...........

How's the pressure, terrain, timing of rut, best WMA, etc

Thanks

that area is mostly coal mine owned...the locals are kinda stand-offish,but ok... don't anticipate anyone from there helping you when it comes to hunting... you'll find that even life-long WVa residents NOT from there are considered "out-of-staters"...
Good Luck

Is the coal mine owned land open to the public?

Is the coal mine owned land open to the public?
yes and no.... I understand they DON'T give permission(due to legal issues) but they don't look for hunters in inactive mine areas... so I've been told. Personally, and I live in WV... the chances of an outsider getting a HOT SPOT are rare...they have monster bucks there, but the locals are after those yr round.....so I've been told....

Another thing that I think that you are going to find is that from what I understand they are getting poached pretty bad also. I'll stick to my publis land in the central part of the state.
