NJ Bear DEP meetings Sept 10, 17, 19 !!!
Thanks to Lynda Smith for this valuable information and directions!! All hunters and outdoorsmen should attend to show our numbers. We had the anti's outnumbered at least 3 to 1 at the Vernon meeting. Lynda Smith was crying foul, we need to show the commissioner that we are more passionate then the anti's are!!!
UPCOMING DEP MEETINGS To assess public opinion about a bear hunt – attendance is CRITICAL! Tuesday, September 10, 7:00 pm Fish & Wildlife/DEP Public Meeting, North Warren Regional High School, Blairstown. National Geographic will be at this meeting to film for an upcoming documentary on the influence of hunting in society. From 80 East: Take 80 East to exit 4 for Route 94, follow the signs to 94 North. Follow into Blairstown and turn right at the first light onto Lambert Road. Make another left onto Raub road, and it will lead directly to the school. From 80 West: Take 80 West to Exit 12. After getting off the exit go right onto Route 521. Follow to Blairstown, make a left at the T in the road onto Route 94. At the second light turn left onto Lambert road, then left onto Raub road. Tuesday, September 17, 7:00 pm Fish & Wildlife/DEP Public Meeting, Morris Knolls High School, 50 Knoll Drive, Rockaway. Directions: whether you’re heading East or West on I-80, ! take Exit 37 & make a Right onto Rt. 513 at the end of the ramp. Make a left onto Union St. Stay Right at the fork on Union. Go to Stop sign and make a Left onto Main St. Make your 1st Right onto Franklin Ave. Take Franklin Ave. straig! ht through the traffic light. Make your 1st Left onto Knoll Dr. (1/4 mi.). Date: Tuesday, September 10, 2002 Time: 7-9 pm Where: North Warren Regional High School Blairstown, NJ DIRECTIONS: From 80 East: Take 80 East to exit 4 for Route 94, follow the signs to 94 North. Date: Thursday, September 19, 2002 Time: 7-9 pm Where: Hopewell Valley Central High School, Hopewell, NJ DIRECTIONS: From the North via NJ Turnpike: Exit 7A (Great Adventure Exit) and get on 195W. Stay on 195W for about 10 miles. There will be a junction where 195, 129, 295, and 206 come together in Hamilton Twp. It is confusing so pay attention! Look to exit off of 195W at this point onto 295N (watch your signs!). Take 295N to Exit 4, which is Route 31. Don't be alarmed that 295N turns into 95S. It is the same road! At Exit 4, Route 31, bear right to proceed North on Rt. 31 into Hopewell Twp. North on Rt. 31 for about 1 1/2 miles will bring you to the Pennington Circle. (TO CONTINUE FROM HERE AND CHECK OUT MAPS, REFER BELOW!) From the North via Rt. 1: South on Rt. 1 into Lawrence Twp. where 295 intersects. Bear right off of Rt. 1 onto 295N/95S (same road!). Take 295N/95S to Exit 4. At Exit 4, Route 31, bear right to proceed North on Rt. 31 into Hopewell Twp. North on Rt. 31 for about 1 1/2 miles will bring you to the Pennington Circle. (TO CONTINUE FROM HERE AND CHECK OUT MAPS, REFER BELOW!) From the South via I-295: Proceed North on 295 to Exit 4. Don't be alarmed that 295N turns into 95S. It is the same road! At Exit 4, Route 31, bear right to proceed North on Rt. 31 into Hopewell Twp. North on Rt. 31 for about 1 1/2 miles will bring you to the Pennington Circle. (TO CONTINUE FROM HERE AND CHECK OUT MAPS, REFER BELOW!) From the South via I-95: Take 95N from PA into NJ across the Scudders Falls Bridge. At Exit 4, Route 31, take the second ramp under the bridge to proceed north on Rt. 31 into Hopewell Twp. North on Rt. 31 for about 1 1/2 miles will bring you to the Pennington Circle. (TO CONTINUE FROM HERE AND CHECK OUT MAPS, REFER BELOW!) Proceed around the Pennington Circle and continue to follow Rt. 31N. Go through a blinking traffic light and continue until you come to your first "full" traffic light. A bank, realtor, Exxon, and Pennington Market are on the four corners. Make a left at this light and the high school is about 300 yards on your right hand side. Timberlane is also on the right hand side of the street right after you pass the high school. |
