Stupid NJ WMA Range Question

I know I need my 2005 license to use the range (or be with someone who does have one). But I do NOT need my rifle permit to shoot a muzzleloader or .22 rimfire at the range, right?

Thanks. The game wardens frequently stop at the Layton range all the time.

Note: Some guys are idiots! At the Layton range they sometimes move their target further up the hill for more yardage (above the backstop). Furthermore, guys sometimes move to the left of the backstop and place their targets up. Safety. Safety. Safety. Guys hunt back there!

That range stinks, no one knows the yardage, some say 60, some say 75yds. plus there seems to be too many shooters. I goto a range in PA, shoot all you want for $10, targets are up for you, already ranged out

For your info. It's 25, 50 and 65 to the metal holders in the ground. Lazered them. People just take for granted that it's 75 cause that's what it says in the digest.

Suppose you don't intend to hunt with the 22, just want to target practice. ?

You should call Law Enforcement in the digest but I don't think you need a rifle permit.

According to the digest just one of your party needs a current NJ hunting license to use the range.See rules and regs. on page 59 of the digest:)

RE: Stupid NJ WMA Range Question

All you need is a valid license to use the range. Only need the rifle permit to hunt.
