I hunt in 3C, Forest Lake township. The hunting this year was bad to say the least. First time in 50 yrs we did not take a legal buck during firearms season. We had 17 guys in the woods from our camp. We took a total of 10 does for the season.

We hunt bow every weekend also and one 1 8pt, 1 doe taken. Number of deer sightings down. Saw some nice bucks during bow but too far to shoot but saw more small spikes or 4pter's than anything.

I think Alt's plan of does tags is hurting the herd but the AR helps the racks. Can't eat the horns though!

Hope next year will be better.

I grew up in Tunkhannock and still hunt that area every year. There areas where I hunt up there still have a ton of deer and alot of nice bucks, always has.I don't take it for granted though becasue that area is still more than double it's deer density goal.
