Hopefully it'll stop raining for a Friday hunt. I have my bow out if it does.
Good luck to all.

I'm sitting here looking at nice 8 or 9 pt right now. he's eating out of the heifer's bunk feeder , guess he'd rough score high 130s. not a doe in sight couple "hunters" drove by an looked him over then see the POSTED signs and drive off WB

could have been after an hour or so this car came back an asked if he could hunt said he was looking for a new farm to hunt cause the one where he hunted for years suddenly got posted this year. He went on to say some crazy old hillbilly over the hill told him no hunting cause all the doe are gone.
I told him he could hunt but no doe here either. He just up an got in his truck and drove off....guess he was a trophy hunter looking for better managed land.

Tonight i was at my GFs house and there was some doe in here yard , her dad told me he saw a nice 8 pt this morning still at dark in the spotlight when he was leaving for work, it seems the deer always show up when im not hunting back there..... o well ill still go for a buck these last days , and maybe pull it out , or maybe will be skunked on horns again!

DBL: I would not tell that story too many times...it is ILLEGAL to spotlight after 11pm. WB

Got a buddy that brought pics to my kids scout meeting yesterday. He has three 8 pointers in his yard each night. Two are obviously 1.5 bucks but the other is an easy 130".

There's still plenty of em out there!

I think he meant the spotlight at his house.
