And there you have it. BM is the main reason why there are NO deer left in PA. How dare you?;) I believe slob is the word used most often.:D

Congratulations on your harvest. Good luck to you in the future.

Get ready for the beat down your going to take tomorrow morning. But I guess you knew you were going to get it anyway.

Well what's up with this? You shot more deer this year, on your private honey-holes, than most other hunters saw all season. And you post all the pictures for us to see. Why? Are you boasting? "Look what I did Ulysses! Take that dead deer!". Congratulations on your season but you're just an imature kid to me. Just shows me you still don't understand what HR has done to the rest of the state.

mike well said! I wonder how many of his buddies left him pose with their deer. prime example of why landowners are posting at an alarming rate now a days. young pup like this hasn't learned not to look like a gloating fool over a hero pic. Sorry outlook for the future with this the type of "hunter" that is coming up isn't it?

Awesome photos BM, love to see pictures like that, wish more people were proud of the does they shoot.

The boys out there by you who are against shooting does don't have a clue and never will, let them keep whining while you take your does and that big monster will come within range then you can post a photo of that buck with a MONSTER grin while they are still crying..."I didn't see any deer today, I have to blame someone, boohoo!"

I'm out..............

1. I don't think all those deer were shot this year, nor did he intend it to look that way
2. some of those are very nice "woodsy" pics that one should be proud to show off.
3. You gloom and doom guys never spare a moment when you can try and cut someone down or make thier accomplishments out to be bad

Buck Magnet 12-24-2004 07:10 AM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

Some of you guys absolutely crack me up.

First off, none of the doe that I shot were shot in the same year. The first doe was shot 3 years ago, the second was shot 2 years ago, the third was shot last year, and the last one was shot this year! First one was shot with my ol Browning Mirage Hunter, second with my Hoyt MT Sport, third with my BowTech MightyMite, and fourth with my BowTech Liberty! It just goes to show you that no matter what, some guys are out to do nothing but complain! Keep pointing the fingers guys, it ain't getting you nowhere!

MikeE51848,

Imature kid? It is actually Immature, but your post seems to show who the immature one is

Bob 1961,

Actually, the hole you see is an exit shot, the entrance hit right behind the shoulder. That doe went about 70 yards and pilled up, the second was a quartering away shot which smoked the doe, she went about 10 yards and pilled up, the 3rd doe was a 7 yard shot that drilled her through one lung and the heart, she went about 40 yards, and the doe I got this year was a perfect double lung, and that doe made it about 20-25 yards!

guess I'll have to start snapping pics of button bucks so old BT,errr I mean BM can see all the potential "wall hangers" I turn into ground burger in a year's time.
I'm having the family over for Christmas diner tommorrow going to take a min. of 3 BB to feed that crowd.

Hey it's Christmas Eve, Old St Ulysses evens wishes BM,errr BT Merry Christmas tonight is one to count your blessings, not argue over the problems of the world least of all those with the PGC.
So God bless you, and may you and your family continue to enjoy the riches the Savior our Lord has given all. Merry Christmas, Peace. Terry

ulysses, keep killing the next gen of bucks off, I'll keep smacking a doe or two every year and let them little guys grow!

Hey, I wish you a Merry X-Mas also. As much as we all like to argue (and yes, we all like to argue or these posts would have stopped a loooong time ago), it is CHRISTmas eve and there is a deeper meaning!

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

wow ulysses you have problems! i guess the only way you can put meat on your table is by shooting that big buck. by the way how many have you gotten lately?

Buck Magnet great job! love the pictures. keep up the good work.

this year i shot a decent 6 pointer. 17 1/2 inside spread with good mass and a doe. i had a hamburg last night, i couldn't tell you if i was eating the doe or the buck for the life of me. however i do know that those antlers are sitting on my wall collecting dust and cobwebs.

so ulysses what makes shooting a buck better then shooting a doe? dose it make you feel more like a man? i don't see anything better about shooting a buck. i am just as happy to harvest a doe then a buck. actually i would rather shoot a doe because then i know their will be 3 less deer next year. where if i shoot a buck it is only one less deer.

hopefully i can fill out my other two doe tags and get my new bow bloody come monday. good luck everyone! Buck Magnet are you going out in the late season at all?

first sot looked like an exit wound..with the entrance being on the flip side further forward. Not a bad shot at all. why is everyone "hating" on people posting pics...big deal. the kids shot some does "deer", isnt that what we want to do??? owners are posting land because people treespass, not because people are shooting 5-10 does....nit wit

ulysses 12-26-2004 07:49 AM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

Lemond I can't speak for other areas of the state but up here in 3A we ARE posting land that was never posted before EXACTLY becaues of too many doe being shot. You want to shgoot doe that's fine by me but do it where they need to be shot, not in a WMU where they don't. 3A is UNDER populated with deer that is why my neighbors and I have begun to post. Because state land hunters have that shot out and are now crowding onto our land to find what deer are left.
That like it or not is a fact, a byproduct of the Alt/PGC style of deer management. None of us up here have a thing against AR we even want stricter AR regs. It is the continued HR that we are against in 3A ( parts of 3A have many deer but the WMU is too large, the PGC/Alt has done a poor job of manageing the too large WMU and should cut back on the size.

I could care less about what he shoots on his private land, over his food plot. The point is he posted them, inspite of a previous post of his about respecting each other's opinion, in an effort to enflame a few others.

ulysses 12-26-2004 12:41 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

mikeE: glad to see others can spot him as a phony too! Well said, BM and his partner BT have lost sight of what the majority of hunters deal with all the time. they sit on their posted, patrolled, & private food plots sniping away in a WMU with high deer numbers and forgetting the majority of hunters hunt gamelands that are shot out .
i'd respect their opinions more if the tore those posted signs down and opened their "hot spots" to the public. I did that for over 60 yrs!and when deer numbers rebound here I'll do it again. I accomplished killing a rack buck EVERY year since I was 12 competeing with others on my own land. what accomplishment is it to sit on private land over a food plot shooting semi tame deer??????????????????

wingbar 12-26-2004 12:47 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

Ulysses It is not any biggie to do what you say they are doing. I read a thread started by Buckmagnet where he shot a crippled buck this year with a gun on one of his food plots. Anyone else would do the same but not make up a thread saying I got my buck an give it's rack size as if to boast that he is some super hunter. My guess is he is a youngster with an ego problem.

ulysses 12-26-2004 12:50 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

I think your guess is correct.
Where do you hunt, I'm up here in 3a around Ulysses twsp you get up this way stop in. I would like to meet you show you around my farm.

Buck Magnet 12-26-2004 02:14 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

Mike and Ulysses,

You go are just hillarious. Why don't you guys take a trip down to Indiana County next year and see what I am all about and where I hunt. I have my own property, but guess what, it isn't posted. None of the property I hunt has posted signs on it. I asked the land-owners for permission and they gave it to me. There is only one property that I hunt that is off limits to everyone besides my family and my best-friend, and that is not up to me, that was up to the landowner!

As far as food plots go, yep, I have about a half dozen of them planted now. What, am I a bad guy for giving these deer some extra food? Get a life!

wingbar,

Yep, I shot a buck that had both its front legs broke this year. It isn't the buck I was after, and I could have said "well, he isn't the biggun I am after so I ain't shootin him", but I did what any decent hearted hunter would do, I put him down and out of his misery! Yet again, if you find something wrong with that, you have a serious problem.

As far as starting this post to start a flame war, maybe, but it was everyones choice to open it up and read it.

Ulysses, do you hunt your own farm? If so, guess what, you are hunting private property! Hey, you must be one of them guys that "sit on their posted, patrolled, & private food plots sniping away"

ulysses 12-26-2004 03:18 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

BM I thought I read wingbar's post where he said anybody would have done the same, in reference to your shooting a cripple. His intent as I read it was questioning why someone would do that an then post a thread about the deer and mention it was 20", etc....he's correct it read like a braggert's report to me too.

As to my hunting on my posted farm; I'll tell you what...you let your hunting patches UNPOSTED for the next 60+ years (like I did) an kill a rack buck everyone of those years; then you have the EARNED the right to make a comment like that about me. till then I must admit to agreeing with wingbar's assessment of you and your ego.

wingbar 12-26-2004 03:28 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

Buckmagnet I only hunt one place that is off limits to anyone but myself and my family too and it is 160 acres in Sullivan County 99% of all my hunting is done there. We plant it in soybeans and buckwheat. The other places I hunt are State Forests. I am pretty sure that is exactly what you do to. spend 99% of your time on private land and 1% on public land. Why won't you just admit to it. No body cares just be honest rather than trying so hard to come off as a super hunter that vies with everyone else for that wiley buck?

moose1915 12-26-2004 05:44 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

iv'e been reading buckmagnets posts for a while now. the kid, hunts and fishes and practices like a madman. if he's got the time , the drive and ambition to go at it as hard as he does, then more power to him. i ENJOY seeing his pics, hearing his stories, he reminds me of myself. If you think it's an ego thing, fine. don't read his posts, if it bothers you that much!

personally, i won't read anything that Ulysses post cause i know it will be incessant whining and crying about the "herd management" . or bragging about blasting button bucks. whatever. talk about just trying to stir the pot!?

GIVE THE GUY A BREAK

sheesh!

I like hearing about a deers size and antler size no matter how it was taken. Thats not bragging to me it's just giving details. Too funny!

Buck Magnet 12-26-2004 07:12 PM

RE: Some Pennsylvania doe pics

wingbar, I do spend most of my hunting on private property, okay. Now, when I say private property, I am NOT talking about land that has posted signs, I am talking about land that somebody owns and I asked permission to hunt on. Like I have said, there is only one place that I hunt that is only hunted by my friends and family and that was the landowners decision as he didn't want any slob hunters on his property. The rest have other hunters who hunt them. Heck, the one farm I hunt on alot is open to all hunters as the farmer hates deer. In archery season, there are probablly about 10 guys hunting that farm and in rifle season, there are probablly close to 40 guys out hunting it!

Ulysses, fact is that you hunting on your farm which is un-posted is the exact thing that I do. I am private land-owners if I can hunt there property and if they say yes, well, I scout my butt off and hunt there. Heck, even my "honey hole" which is open to just my family and my friends doesn't have a posted sign on it.

You can sit there portraying me as having a huge chunk of property that has posted signs on every tree with acres upon acres of foodplots all you want, but like I said, that simply isn't true.

Now, as far as you and your 60 bucks. Congrats.... that is an accomplishment, but how is that any better than a young hunter who hunts in the same situation as you but just hasn't had the years to get as many bucks?

I think to many guys are getting private land mixed up with posted land. Private land is any land that is owned by a person, not the state, and it doesn't have to have posted signs put up and it doesn't mean that it is off limits to hunting.

As far as ego and immature go..... whatever you think.... you are now just trying to get under my skin but it ain't working. Keep the insults comming, I have heard them from you many times and they mean about as much to me as a empty soda bottle!
