HOLIDAY HUNTING
 

HEY DOES ANYONE KNOW IF YUO CAN HUNT ON A A HOLIDAY... LIKE NEWS YRS EVE AND NEW YRS DAY....

In PA you can hunt Squirrels, Grouse, Rabbit and Deer on those days. Deer hunting is flintlock or archery - appropriate tags required.

I don't know if we have anything open on Christmas Eve/Day.

I would recommend hunting skirts on New Years' Eve - very high hunter success rate, and besides, it's the opening day of the 2005 season.

quiksivler... Ill be hunting deer during the day and skirts at night on those days.... You can use a shotgun here if you ahve a doe tag in teh special regs areas.

You can hunt New Years Day but New Years Eve would be called Jacklighting:D;)

If you would happen to bag a "doe" on New Year's eve, be sure to wear your rubber... umm.. gloves, so as to not make a fawn, which would be bad.

It would appear everyone hunts new years eve around here.At midnight it sounds like a war.Greek if you have a 5c or 5d doe tag it reopens 27th here in the east with slug gun and of course bow and flint also

I WILL BE HUNTING DOWN IN 5D SO DOES THAT MEAN I CAN HUNT WITH BOW ON DEC 31ST THEN....... AND IF I GET A DOE SHE WILL TASTE JUST AS GOOD AS A BUCK CAN'T EAT THE HORNS.....

Always hunt New years eve with the muzzy or the bow. It also happens to be my b-day and I have been fortunate enough to bag a deer many times on that particular day.

If you get up Jan 1, you'll have the woods pretty much to yourself in the AM, but I'll be there!;)

I'll be out the morning of the 1st too. I'm too old to get crazy on new years any more. Heck if its a real nice night maybe I'll ring in the new year trying to bag some foxes....and no not that kind:) I don't think the little lady would be too happy about that.

Yes Greek you can BOW hunt on the 31st for buck or doe with a 5d doe tag, You can use a flint for buck or doe also with 5d doe tag. OR you can shoot a doe only with a slug gun with a 5d doe tag
