Lots of deer around Philly
 

I just got back from the Philly Airport.
Coming up 476 I looked up along the retaining wall and you guessed it a nice racked buck just feeding along the wall.
I case you are wondering, my wife was driving !!!
When we got on the turnpike coming west I could not believe my eyes.
I told her to watch out, there were deer all over the bank feeding !!
I saw more deer in a 2 mile stretch of road then I saw in the last 2 years of hunting.
But after that there was nothing the rest of the way home to the Reading exit. Even going past the SGLs there was nothing.
There are still problem areas out there, but those areas are now not as big or as many as there was before this program started.
I believe the program needs a little adjustment or maybe a BIG adjustment.

You encountered the deer over-run Valley Forge Park on the turnpike. When you get some free time you need to drive through the actual park!! You will not believe it!!

Yeah after dark on the sides of the turnpike near Philly, there are deer everywhere. I see an average of 5 deer whenever I'm leaving Philly on the turnpike in the Philly area.

3006 ,You passed within 2 miles of my house. I live right off exit 298 Morgantown.Thats the area without deer,LOL

i lived in wayne on the edge of the park and have shot a valley forge monster. the park is off of the hook. i have seen countless huge deer on the property including many 10's -14pters. dont get any ideas though...the rangers carry 45's and they are no joke. the rangers and i developed a pretty good relationship and i could have shot a deer that made it to the park they would have allowed me to get it. they used to chase sick foxes around the park and a few times came on our property looking for them. anyway...i could go on and on.

the deer on the blue route are a crazy situation. i see them often and saw a crazy non typical a few weeks ago. the deer was standing there like my montana decoy.
