RE: Deer Tour Study 2002
It is nice up there, but please it sounds more like a nice weekend away rather then a study. I think ,maybe you all ought to start planting some habitate for the existing deer to eat.Where I use to hunt we didnt make studies we just kept a good food source for them and we just counted them on the meat pole. Really have a good time.I'm just playing advocate,Not the devils though!!

RE: Deer Tour Study 2002
I had a habitat project in March. We planted trees in a recently logged out area on a SGL. The spring is the best time for that sort of thing.
This will be a serious deer learning experiance lead by an experianced and degreed biologist that does extensive work in the whitetail field. We are hoping for a nice weekend also. :) |
RE: Deer Tour Study 2002
actually the fall is the best time to plant trees

It is good also, but I think many would agrue that the spring rains makes the spring the best.
You decide to join us yet? I imagine you to be friendly and civil in person. It will be a historic get together. |

RE: Deer Tour Study 2002
What time can people make it to the campgrounds on Friday? It gets dark at 8PM and we want to spot deer for the first part of it then.
