Well I got my Buck today (Sat Dec 4) at 8:00 He was hit in the leg sometime yesterday the best I can figure, due to no shooting before my shot. Had a broken tine on the left side, but he measured 17 1/2 inches inside spread. Big body too.

I hunted this year with about a 40% success rate. I hunted about six days before taking a nice 9 pt. in archery season. I passed on countless does and smaller bucks. Thereafter, I went 3/3 taking one doe every day out.

The deer are here - but y'all gotta remember - they're not retarded. They find a safe place and stay there. Posted lots, limited access sites, remote areas and otherwise odd woodlots are where the deer are currently holed up. Beating the same old stand locations to death is probably the wrong approach at this point. PA has over 1 million hunters - hunt the unpressured areas and find the deer. Remember - they are trying to ELUDE hunters, not LOOK for them!
