Default Valley Forge PA - 9 Pointer

I "kind of" recently moved to NJ from PA. Unpacking... long story, short: check out this 9-pointer I found on 02/21/1987. I was hiking with my grand father and found the dead deer in the thick stuff. Lucky.

The picture is recent... I was 14 years old when I found the rack.

To my knowledge hunting is NOT permitted in the Valley Forge area where I found the rack to this day. For all I know the buck died of old age.

Anyway... pretty cool childhood momento. My grandfather (WW2 vet) has since passed away.

Default YOU

YES SIR, NICE MOMENTO , I LIKE THE WAY YOU HAVE IT ON A PLAQUE, THATS WHAT BEING IN THE OUTDOORS IS ABOUT MAKING MEMORIES THAT WILL LAST A LIFETIME, ITS NOT ALWAYS ABOUT GETTING THE BIG ONE OR KILLING TEN ITS SPENDING GOOD TIMES WITH SOMEONE SPECIAL

BEST OF LUCK DR KILL

Drag that place is full of deer. If I was you I would remove this post.At the time you found that it was and still is against the law to remove any part of a deer from the wild without a legal tag on it in Pa. . The exception is sheds and that was a law just passed this year. Just rying to be nice.I could care the least

I found the rack in an area of Valley Forge where no hunting is permitted.

Thanks.

I would have to say the statute of limitations has expired on that case....

i lived on the edge of the park for years opposite of the ranger station and by the looks of that i have shoot one of the offspring of that deer that u have. i have a rack on the wall similar to that except the brows are longer...ironic.
u cannot hunt the park at all, but if u own a nice piece of land u can use archery equip. i have seen deer in the park in the 160-170 range over the years. the largest i saw on valley forge mountain 8 yrs ago...that deer is dead by now, but what a monster.

nice rack
