hey fellas, can we get a final count who's gonna be there friday morning? Lefty and I need to know, so we can plan accordingly!!!

well, I have to admit, I am really disappointed at the turn out for this thing, at one point we had 12 people going, now it looks like 3 and maybe a buddy I might bring. I still havent heard from lefty yet either, unless he shows up, and takes us to the backside of the property that I am unfamiliar with, I dont know if its worth going, I've hunted at least one day there a week, and am not seeing anything. I hope Lefty gives us some insight, maybe he can hook us up with a honey hole in there, cause it sure aint where Ive been,(of course I know where Im hunting at is where probably 80% of the hunters there hunt) I had to laugh, the other day I was there for an evening hunt and saw someone had left (i assume it had a lock on it) a climber attached to a tree, no more than 50 yards from the entrance, talk about not wanting to walk far.

Me and slice will be there, it looks like its getting light around 6am so I would say we should be there and meet by 5 am at the latest. I think the back side is our best bet, I can probaly find a spot to get everyone into. After all I do know that place like the back of my hand:D:D. That front side gets a lot of pressure and I see more bucks in the back. Its supposed to be real windy hopefully we dont all get blown away.

WILL BE 25 TO 30 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 35 TO 40 MPH POSSIBLE. THE
STRONGEST WINDS WILL OCCUR IN CENTRAL AND NORTHEASTERN MARYLAND...
NORTHERN AND NORTHWESTERN VIRGINIA...AND THE EASTERN WEST VIRGINIA
PANHANDLE...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE HILLS IN THESE AREAS. SOME CITIES

well, it looks like after a conversation with lefty that we'd probably be better off calling the hunt off. With the winds they're calling for, its probably not safe to be in the woods. maybe we can rescedule late season for a better weather/ attendance time.

No problem I knew that I was going to hunt from the ground any way due to wind gust. I am on vacation from the 15th of Nov till the 19th of Dec. Had all that use or loose leave on the books. My hours converted from that of a Federal firefighter to a normal federal employee. I'll be out there Mon and Tue since I am off shift those days. I have to work the next three days at night.

I agree that the winds are gonna be a little to strong to hunt comfortably. We will try to get out and hunt together another day.
