Coyotes in Allegheny Co., PA

Was visiting my parents who live in Allegheny Co. near the Washington Co. border. We went out to walk the dogs and for them to smoke their butts - we could hear a couple of coyotes next door at the neighbors farm. Might be why all the neighborhood cats are disappearing.

I was reading in the PA hunting regs. that coyote are legal to shoot - no closed season with exceptions during deer season. I could not find what the exceptions are. Anyone know???

You can shoot them during deer or bear season if you have a deer or bear tag.

Susquehanna Co. Pa where we have property for the 1st time in 25 yrs the coyotes have become a problem for the local farmers and their livestock. Could also explain why we are not seeing a lot of deer this season. I hope that is not the case

I live and hunt just 12 miles north of Pittsburgh and we see coyote tracks all over the place. I invited a trapper to come in and see what he can get out of here. I hope they don't turn into a real problem.
