PA ML season

Anyone going out tomorrow for ML season? I'm going to try to fill the freezer tomorrow in 5c.

Good luck bud!
I hunt this time of year in suburbia with a bow. I'm real close to safety zones so I bowhunt only. I'll be out there too so try not to scare me out of the tree when you shoot! ........ hahahaha.
Oh, and chase me over a nice big buck while you are out there:D

I was going to go out with the bow tomorrow, however, due to the weather forcast (15-25mph winds, possible gusting to 40 tonight) I changed my mind and bought a ML stamp. Should be a good day to do some stalking.

Cardeer, I never heard of Muddy run, so I can't offer any help, but good luck!

Cardeer, I dont think you could find much better hunting in this area than Muddy Run Park ( other than it being fenced in) It has tons of deer. Good Luck, Pike

I know where there's a deer in 5C right now - on my front porch in the smoker:D. No hunting this weekend. Dropped the boat off to get winterized, stacked wood, made jerky and I'm making summer sausage tonight!;)

Sure hope so Barnes!

Went out on Saturday and didn’t see anything but I did do some scouting while taking the ML for a walk. I know it’s only a matter of time before my bad luck runs out. I hunt all season (bow, ML, rifle) and so far I haven’t had any shooting opportunities. I mainly hunt public land in 5c (except for rifle, 3b) so it gets difficult to pattern deer due to the pressure of other hunters. It’s still nice to be in the woods and take in nature’s beauty. Hopefully I’ll have a better report next week.

Congrats to those who have scored!

VmanPa-haven't made it up to 3d yet (got skunked in 4c broad mountain saturday) , but hopefully soon. scouted the state forest in promised land west of 390 pretty extensively, and it looked good. where you hunting?

RE: PA ML season

thanks for the welcome!!
boysda.....i am a die-hard for state gamelands 209 back in fire-tower road, been hunting there for almost 30 years. my favorite area is back near the buskill swamp....was in that area saturday.went to a place near lake wallenpaupack called shuman point.......spent the morning there and the evening by lilly pond bacl in SGL 209..........my buddly talked me into those areas for monday. tommrow after work gonna sit in a spot near yellowpine trail till dark (pretty much that is where i like for early season ML). SGL 209 is the Milford area. u familiar with these areas i am talking about?
i haven't been by promised land for quite a few years....was there aftere the tornado went through there and saw the downed trees....and lots of them.
when the general gun season opens.....u can always find me in 209 in the bushkill swamp area...and pretty far in. sometimes i also take a poke into wallowing hole too.....that is also a good area of 209.......guess alot of 209 is a really good area, though the woods are tough walking(and dragging) and really thick...but that is where they are....just gotta be in the right place at the right time!

RE: PA ML season

i know the area around 209, but never been in it. i'm having a hard enough time learning the hunting areas around PLand. Truth be told, most of the areas where you find whitetail in 3D are hard going. found tons of sign and bedding areas in promised land-just had to crawl on my belly for 15 minutes thru rodedenron to get there.
