Oct. 5th AM Hunt Results in NJ
 

Zero deer. However, I did see a turkey.

I moved my portable treestand about 20 yards further up the gully so
that I can see the deer (and turkey) entering. My position is still
in the area of my bait, the fresh scrape, and the dozen or so buck
rubs. Before calling it quits I walked to the top of the gully (I am
hunting in the mid to lower section). I found 2 permanent treestands.
Both appear to be old, but who knows. One had a lock on the ladder.

They are both eye sores and illegal on the WMA.

Well my morning was a little better. I saw 8 deer by 7 am & had one whacked. I was hunting Zone 11 in Hunterdon today.

Not a bad year so far, 2 does in Jersey & a 5pt in Kentucky.

Hope that everyone's luck either holds (if it's good) or turns for the better!

congrats Bacs,I used to love hunting hunterdon county,you could be blind and hit a deer there.I miss that area,Hunting zone 6 now saw nothing this morning,only sat a hour though had to go make money.Hope this weekend will be nice

i hunt colliers mills sat morning i saw 2 does then that night i saw 3 Y bucks and 6 doe also missed a shot at a 6 pt just before dark wrong pin
tonight i saw 4 doe and 1 a hole satting up 30 yrd from me when i got down he said he never saw me bunch of b.s any way theirs wensday night anyhow good luck all
