Pretty neat, huh? I have a piebald in my area that I've watched grow up for 3 years now. I first saw her as a fawn in 2002. Studied her habits last year and over the winter. This summer she's been watched and still doesn't know it....she'll figure it out about the time my arrows slips trhough her ribs! At 2.5 this year she is pretty big and now I don't feel at all bad about tagging her. She's had 2 hunting seasons under her belt and now it's time to commemorate her and my relationship(that she doesn't know she's involved in) with tanned hide for the wall!

I have only seen one in person, and that was going down I-90 right by the Buffalo airport. I did the break neck head swing, and almost went off the road.

Really cool thing in nature to see.

Couple years ago I hunted hard for a piebald doe. She was very pinto'd...she was into her 2nd year and I saw her while hunting 5 times but nothing closer than 50 yards...she materialize from no where dispite all the white on her....I passed up some decent bucks to get her and I never did, I saw her right to the end of bow season then never again......

Thanks for posting that pic DLuke...
I seen a couple of fawns like that in Ligonier, PA a few years back. This year I seen a piebald doe off Rt. 28 very near Kittanning, PA.
They are pretty neat to look at...
