well i hunt the catskill mountains greene country to be exact well any way wat would be a good small game gun
savagw .17 hmr
marlin .17 hmr
henery lever action .22 < thats alll i need i think
i got 200 to spend on a new small game gun what do you think i should get?

Go with a .22 - you'll be glad you did. Ammo is always availible, its cheap to shoot 1000s of rounds, and its very accurate.

Which 22 is a matter of choice. I startrd with a Marlin 39, lever - still got it and its still my favorite open sight rifle,.

I'd get a bolt action magazine fed marlin 22lr.
