Mr. Longbeard, I'm aware of some bow hunting that's available at Rocks State Park and at Susquehana State Park and would love to get more information about areas that I can bow hunt this fall. Please send me a private message if you know of some places that I might be able to check out.
I'd greatly appreciate any info you could provide.
Thanks,
Jim

Rob,

Better start going the public land route... or start knocking on some doors. Access to private property is a tough nut to crack these days. Hunters/Sportmen are good folks and most would be willing to bend over backwards to help out, but when it comes to land I doubt anyone is going to just hand you an address. It takes too much time to develop hunter/landowner relationships these days! Are you willing to pay some $ to join a club? Maybe that is the route you should take.

Good luck....

I would start door knocking. The farmers around here are pretty friendly and actually want deer off their land. Tell them you'll take a doe or two first before you take any bucks. Not to sound like a snob but don't dress well when you go talk to them. I'd throw on some jeans and a t-shirt and a hat. Don't look like a slob but don't go in a shirt and tie either. I've heard of farmers turn people down because they thought people were yuppies or whatever.
