Hey tanzian thanks for the reply, what part of the state do you hunt in, i try and hunt them some , but just learning to run them.am always looking for a new hunting buddy. if you ever have an extra spot or need someone to go with you let me know. thanks

I hunt them mosty in Hardy and Hampshire counties...and we always have room for one more[:-]

Just a fair warning that some of what we hunt is very tough country and we go in for several days at a time.

Ive never bear hunted but i have talked to alot of the local bear hunters around here. From what i have heard there are alot more bear around lately. I mostly hunt Hardy county and there are a good many bear hunters up here. Last season i talked to a few hunters up in Wilsons Cove that had 3 diffrent bear running at one time on 2 ridges, they said they had jumped so many bear lately they were have time keeping up. So from what i hear bear hunting is gettin pretty good here in the eastern panhandle of WV

I've not hunted them yet but in the last 3 years they've killed 3 bears around my mom's house only about 15 miles from Charleston.
