To all you people that live in deepcreek im jsut warning you taht tommorow FRIDAY may 7th is PENN TRAFFORD high schools porm , we all know what happened down there last year , jsut tryin to give u the heads up !!!

Also i heard you all had a town meeting to try to keep the people that visit for post prom under control ...

Hmmm, Yep....I would also like to know what happened. I went to college at Potomac State in Keyser, WV and most of us spent weekends up at Deep Creek 75-78. Great times and a great place! :)

well after Prom last year , our seniors decided to take a trip down there , wel too mke a long story short , our seniors got a lil bit too boozed up , and made some tapes of things that werent really liked by the school , which were held against most seniors and until the tapes and pictures were given up , they werent going to be able to graduate.... but some of this years seniors were headed down , and there was talk going around that the Deepcreek town had a tiny meeting to try to control these people this year..... but the tapes got alot of local news coverage , and also was featured on had copy ...... i think the title was PT PROM QUEEN! but thats jsut a bad thing that a bunch of idiots did to give our school a bad rep. also following that incident i think we were ranked in the top 5 in a HS party poll done by the news...

Well from someone who used to live in Swanton Md (10 minutes from the lake) I can tell you that what happened with those kids isnt any worse then what some of the "city slicker" tourists do all of the time in that area. I know the people of Oakland MD and McHenry MD were not happy about all of the publicity ( there is really not a town called Deep Creek... it is just the name of the area). Really it isnt any worse then when the locals and the toursist have the yearly "brawl" at UNOs on the lake. I remember one year when they actually had to call in the cops in riot gear to stop it. The "locals" just hate the tourists but love the money they bring. Would still be living in that area had MD not passed such goofy gun laws. Honestly the lake used to be a paradise to play in but now it is so over developed and so many people in the summer you may as well go to Ocean City.
