Buck with HORNS....still!!!!
Went to work this am and was looking at about 6 long beards strutting in a field amongst several deer. As I got closer I looked and low and behold a BUCK with HORNS!!!! I did a double take and turned around and put the binocs on him as I thought Velvet already, na couldnt be???
Nope, Horns!!!!!!!!!! a little scrubby 3 pointer!!! who didnt drop em yet. I thought this was pretty unusual for this time of year. |
RE: Buck with HORNS....still!!!!
Due to AR little bucks don't get to breed anymore so they remain hornier longer.

Uhhh, guys, I think everybody knows that deer have ANTLERS. Horns are sometimes easier to type and it still gets the point across, doesn't it?
Ease up! ;) |

I have not seen any for about three weeks though I was surprised to see them even that recently.

Are you positive they were not in velvet? I've seen a few racks beginning to grow here in NY. It is April, and not uncommon for them to start growing!
