BE SAFE... Remember, if you hear that gobbler, probably at least one other hunter does also and he may be on his way over. This year I renewed my Hunting Safety when I went with my son who is 13. Believe me, too much safety never hurts. One of the things I learned was that, in NY State, the age that has the most hunting accidents is around 40 years old. It seems us adults assume we know what is the safest. Fact: Kids are safer than adults when it comes to handling guns! I read on a previous post that last year was the safest ever in NY! Let's make it 2 years in a row! Thank you for hearing me out!

While driving back from a round of golf, I happened to pass through my hunting area. There was a pretty big gobbler, head all red and blue, standing along the road. He was in full strut ( I didn't see any hens at the time), gobbling his fool head off. Didn't have my camera!
