More like 30-40 in most places, if not higher.
Let's not forget that this study was checking the amount of hunters greater than 1/3 of a mile from the road. Not all the hunters in the woods or the amount of hunters within 1/3 of a mile of the road. I do agree that many areas of this state do not permit very deep travel. But, I do think that the perpose of this study was to see were hunter are going on over browsed public land. I can't confirm that, but I think I read it somewhere....there have been a few article written about this study.
