DaveH, the population density has shifted during that time. The traditional big woods areas have unquestionally seen decreases in densities and the overall increases have been due to herd growth that has occurred mostly in southern Pa. where few deer use to live. We do not go to camp anymore for the better hunting. That is now found in the southern counties that are not forested.
