Suffern Outdoor Show
Went to the show yesterday afternoon. It was opening day and there wasn't much of a crowd. To my disappointment, there was very little to do with hunting. I would guess that it was 95% fishing. Nothing against fishing, but I expected more hunting. Only 4 outfitters from out west. I have been going to this show for many years and was very disappointed. It seems that his show has gone the way of many others and is phasing out hunting. I guess that I will be writing another letter and hope that others will do the same.

I just got back a couple of hours ago..I have not been to that show in 10 years. I could not believe that there was hardly any hunting stuff. We met another group of fellows there and they told us the college "removed" anything they thought was related to guns. So if you are going to write like I am...it should be to the college and the promoters.

One of the exhibitors was required to remove, get this "rubber band" guns from his retail sale table due to the university regs. Yet the knife booth was allowed to display and sell fantasy knives of all sorts of wild configurations and swords. Go figure Oh yeah, bows both new and used and blowguns with broadhead and needle point darts were OK to sell to anyone with an adult.

I usually go every 2-3 years. This year the wife and I had other obligations. After reading posts on this and other forums I am glad we didn't go. and probably will not bother going ever again. Just as soon make the trek to Cabellas.
