I'm heading out to the mountains in two weeks so I plan to do some shed hunting then. If I have any luck I'll post my results.
Is anyone else in the mid-Atlantic area finding anything yet?

I found the first shed of the season where I live in S.W.Pa 2 days ago it had been buried under the snow we had .It was left side and has 5 points and is in pretty good shape for having laid outside for over a month.Its on now I'm hoping that was the first of many to come here.I need to top last years mark of 17.

I'm planning on searching for some after we get rid of some more of this snow. The area's I hunt are still covered in both snow and ice making it even harder to spot anything.

hey Rack. I am up to 14 as of 2/12/04. I have found 3 sets nothing big. A buddy of mine found a 60 in 5 pt side on tuesday nice bone.

Hard to hunt em when some still are wearing there headgear!!! I have heard 3 different people in a couple of days say they have seen a buck with the horns still on. Two of which were slammers!!!

i found that eight point skull (which i posted) and a right side with three points. my two biggest score high 60" and low 70" the pics are on my website.

I'm happy to say that I actually found some sheds today. In the years past when I'm looking for them I could never locate any, the half dozen that I have found were by mere accident while I was post-season scouting. Well that changed today, finally. Me and my eight year old daughter went for a walk across the road and we started scouring the woods were I have found sheds by accident in the past. Well lo-and-behold we found not one, but three within a 50 yard area and within 10 minutes. Man was I pumped, couldn't believe it. Of course I had to let her "find" one all by herself also after I practically tripped over it, we had a good time.

We'll be going back to look for the other sides, all three drops were from different bucks. One was 4 points of the right side, the other was also 4 points of the left side and the third one was 3 points of the right side. It's good to know there will be three decent bucks in the section next season.
