Last Day
 

Saturday's the last deer day in DE and NJ Southern zones with the Bow. Who's gonna give it 1 more try?

My old man said he's gonna tramp around SJ tomorrow all day to find some good sign to put me on. For some reason, I guess he feels obligated since I put him on deer this year in DE during the shotgun seasons, which he bagged a button during the antlerless and a 5 point last weekend. I told him there's no need. Seeing him get deer makes me happier than if I get them. But, if he finds a hot spot, i'm up for a change of scenary.

No matter where, I'll be out in the afternoon for one last sunset in the 03-04 season. Who's with me??? ;)

;) Go spend some quality time with Dad. It's a long off season. You are just the opposite of my son, Joe and myself. I'm the one always setting him up for the opportunity to take game. Recently, he has started to suggest that he should switch roles. Your dad is just trying to thank you as my son is trying to do likewise. ENJOY YOUR HUNT!!!!

Thats what its all about DM.I did the same for my grandfather till he past away,then my father til he moved to Arizona.Now i have a good friend almost half my age 65,that im doin it for. its pretty contagious.And the reward is better than if i pulled the trigger.Of course I could have maybe 2 or 3 wallhangers, but the memories last forever along with the laughs from their screwups.Hopefully somebody will do it for me when i get older!! Keep it up brother!!:D

I just got an Email from the old man. Said he couldnt find a spot thats good with the winds predicted tomorrow. He also said 2 deer is enough for him, so I'm on my own tomorrow. I'll be heading back to the leased farm. I might sit where I put him last week, but I'll probably just hop in the stand. Might as well end the season where it started back on 9/1. Wish I would have dumped some more corn last week. Oh well, if I get skunked for the season, so be it. Frustrating yes, but the memories and my dads 2 deer make the season.
