Shed Hunting!
 

Just wondering if any of you people have been out shed hunting yet and if you've had any success. If not when do you NYers usually go??

I have been out alittle and found 4 fresh 4 pt sides with 2 being a small set and I found a 7 pt side from last year but I don't think they are shedding real good yet, I think I would have found more if they were.

I think you found more sheds in one day than I've found in 5 years.

Heh, I saw a book ten pointer day before yesterday...couldnt believe it. Right in the middle of Rochester Suburbia.

don't think the shed has started here yet. saw two bucks sparring and chasing does last night. been a whacky season here!

got out for a hour today and found a fresh 4pt set that was sticking out of the snow so I know that they shed just recently. Also was out yesterday for 2 hours and saw 3 bucks with both sides so it is a little early but with the snow that we are suppose to get will shut down shedding for a couple of days.[:'(]

[8D] I've seen a few flatheads but most of my local boys are still sportin the battle gear. So much drifting snow that so far I have not found any sheds, yet. I go out just about everyday to observe, learn and enjoy.

I went out yesterday for a few hours. Didn't find any. I did find something interesting though. I should've taken a pic. There must have been 30 beds within 1,000 square feet of eachother. Pretty cool. And I can barely walk today. Man those snowdrifts in the open fields whooped my butt. Walking through waist high snow put an extra hair on my chest. wow!
