spiketv drops all outdoor programming
i just read this weekend that spiketv, the old TNN, has decided to drop ALL of their outdoor programming! i already sent them a nasty e-mail letting them know what i thought. they told Mark Sosin, who has had a show for 20 years, that "men don't fish and hunt anymore". can you believe that one? i encourage everyone to tell everyone that they know about this, and to contact them. this is their homepage, if you don't believe it, check out their weekend schedule. www.spiketv.com show them just how many of us don't do any hunting and fishing anymore

RE: spiketv drops all outdoor programming
Its now owned by MTV so what do you expect? Sure is a shame. Outdoor shows on TNN were a family tradition around my house.

To bad it's not TNN anymore. I sent them feedback saying I along with many other people were disapointed. Maybe they'll change their decision?

RE: spiketv drops all outdoor programming
Do you guys know where Real Tree and Mossy Oak will be shown in 2004? The only other alternative is ESPN2 or the Outdoor Channel.
I plan to email and give them a piece of my mind. Thanks for the heads up. Bob |

RE: spiketv drops all outdoor programming
I saw where Mark Sosin is going to the Outdoor Channel. I hope Spike starts seeing a major drop in ratings.

RE: spiketv drops all outdoor programming
You guys (and gals) need to check out a channel that launched in April. It is called The Sportsman Channel. Believe me, it is awesome! Their motto is "All Hunting, all fishing, all the time! They show hunting and fishing shows 24/7 - no prospecting, rodeos or irritating infomercials. Anytime you turn it on, it'll be hunting or fishing! Being a new network, they are not on many cable systems yet, but if we would all call our cable provider and tell them you'd like to see it added, maybe we'll get this thing on.
Best of all, if you have high-speed internet access, you can actually watch The Sportsman Channel right from their website. Here is how you do it, log onto www.thesportsmanchannel.com. From the menu on the left, select "Online Broadcast", turn on your speakers, grab your beverage of choice and sit back and enjoy some quality programming. It blows away The Outdoor Channel and Outdoor Life! Murph |
