Gun / Sportsmans shows
 

I've never had much luck finding out about local gun shows, etc... until AFTER they are over. Is there some way that I can find out when sportsmans or gun or other shows of interest to an outdoorsman are scheduled for and where. I live just south of Albany NY, so anywhere in the capital region is within reasonable travel distance.

Not sure what's near you... but try performing a search on www.yahoo.com for the organization or exhibition center that hosts the show.

Many times they will have a schedule with all the info you will need.

As far as a list put out by the show? I think I remember seeing something to that effect last year... but for the life of me... I have no idea where I saw the link. Sorry.

Check out www.sportshows.com This is the link for the Paul Fuller shows, Rockland would be the closest to you up there but it is a biggie. I will try to contact my cousine to get some of the gun show dates, he is a gun show groupie.

I think--don't quote me on this--that the Empire State Plaza is holding one the last weekend in January. I work down there, so I'll find out.

The American Rifleman has a feature that lists local gunshows.
There is a gunshow at the Poughkeepsie Civic Center on Jan 19 and 20.

If I had kept my mouth shut for another day I would have answered my own question. America's First Freedom Magazine (NRA Mag) had a list in the back. For others interested:

Poughkeepsie Civic Center: Jan 19 & 20
Albany, Empire Plaza Convention Center: Jan 26 & 27

It seems I've hit a nerve on this board in response to my inquiry about when Jesus may be coming back. Being a Christian myself, I would indeed like to know when this will happen. As you can understand, you can never be too prepared for a visit from Jesus.

The Biggest one of all is coming up.Eastern Sport and Expo at Harrisburg,Pa.Over 1400 Outfitters and everything in the outdoors.It's well worth the ride from Albany,NY.Plan on spending at least 2 days to see it all.

Guys you have to have a sense of humor once in a while, especially after the 9-11 tragedy! If you really want to turn things around and punish a guy for a pointless remark, then if you are that religious, why do you kill poor defenseless animals? Please find a Religion BBS to spout this stuff on. A joke was made and taken offense to by a few people, let's let it die for cryin' out loud. Or at least take it to the appropriate venue. THIS AIN'T IT.

Another show announcement, February 9 & 10 in Parsippany NJ at the Parsippany PAL Auditorium just off 46 and 287, hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
