I'm not really surprised. The warm weather certainly made conditions a bit more challenging then normal.

Todd
I read that in a local paper that my buddy had from around the Binghampton area. It will be bow season doe only Oct 1-15, then normal bow for the normal length starting the 15th. Shotgun would also last a week or two longer. Im not sure if these rules are going into effect, but I sure wouldn't mind!

Corvid - here's a link to new legislation now on the books. Its buried in there - but a three deer limit is proposed (and my understanding is bow opens Oct 1)

I DID MY PART . BUT THE HUNTING WAS TOUGH EARLY IN THE SEASON, WITH THE WARM WEATHER WE FOUND ALOT OF DEER IN THE GOLDENRODS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.NOT ALOT OF BUCKS DURING SHOTGUN SEASON, SEEN ALOT DURING BOW BUT NO SHOT. I HUNT CHAUTAQUA CO. GOOD LUCK.
