NEW JERSEY: DELAWARE WATER GAP RECREATION AREA CLOSED FOR BEAR HUNT
 

JUST READ THE NEWSPAPER, A JUDGE IN WASHINGTON D.C. HAS ORDERED THE DELAWARE WATER GAP AREA CLOSED TO THE BEAR HUNT FOR MONDAY, HE MAY ALLOW THE BEAR HUNT TO OPEN ON TUESDAY, BUT I FEEL IT WILL NOT OPEN. I HUNT THIS AREA AND HAVE A BEAR PERMIT, BUT WITH THE SNOW THE CHANCES ARE SLIM ON EVEN SEEING A BEAR, BUT THOSE ANTIS GET THERE WAY TIME, AND TIME AGAIN.

You just knew it was going to happen [:'(]. These people are protesting this hunt every day somewhere.

This was the hail mary that the anti's were hoping would come through. At least they can't stop the entire hunt. The state should refund everyone that purchased a permit for that area.

bowhuntercop , are you telling me that they issued you a permit to hunt the gap area and now they are telling you you can hunt there ?? i'd scream bloody murder ! somebody is due a refund!! the gap is a great place to hunt when i lived in nj thats where i did a major portion of my hunting, however it wasn't a well known spot back then either !

the permits are free this year but what concerns me is doesnt the delaware national water gap area include pennsylvania? wouldnt that mean that the hunt in that area just across the river is not allowed. its gonna start spreading if we dont speak up. does this judge in washington have email or a phone number to tell the real story.
