Orange requirement
 

This will be my first year hunting in NJ. My dad swears that there is an orange req. for NJ , but I told him there wasnt. So who's right ? Even though I will be wearing some.

200 square inches of orange must be worn. Either a hat, a vest, or a coat.

Page 15 of the New Jersey Fish & Wildlife Digest states 200 inches of flourescent orange is required to hunt deer.

Thanks ....I used a link from this site and it stated that NJ had no orange req.
checked the G&WL book and sure enough 200

You dont need orange!!!!!

if your hunting turkey, or coyote!!! or hunting with a bow!!!

you NEED 200 square inches of blaze orange OR a plain blaze orange hat. orange camo hat not acceptable.

Slugman- Please don't go into the woods hunting without reading ALL of the regulations and understanding them. You will be a danger to yourself and for the rest of us.

Slugman, you do need orange in N.J. Even if you didn't, some places in N.J. I wouldn't be caught dead without it.
