Favorite Hunting " sayings"

After reading all of these posts and seeing everyones signature I notice alot of pretty cool sayings. I was just wondering if anyone had any more cool hunting slogans or sayings. Here are a couple of mine.

" There' s a fine line between hunting and sitting there looking stupid!"

" The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind."

" I didn' t climb to the top of the foodchain to become a vegetarian"

SOme member here has a signature along the lines:

" Heaven is watching the sunrise 15ft off the ground on opening day" or something along those lines.

I like the traditional " you have no chance if you arent in the woods."

I would rather be lucky than good any day!

You have to shoot to get them!

I' m not going to shoot any little ones this year!

and my personal favorite:

They are all over on the neighboring property!

If it flies, it dies

If it' s brown, it' s down

Of course these are unethical sayings.

I like if it' s brown, it' s down....

We also use FDD, First Day of Deer, usually indicating first day of rifle season.

We don' t shoot for horns, just meat.

LOL

My favorite:

you shoulda been in your stand because i saw a monster (enter atronomical number here)-pointer walk right under your stand!!

whenever we part ways when going afield me and my father always say the traditional " good luck" but the last thing we always say is " shoot straight" i dunno why. we have been saying it for the last 8 years every day we hunt in different locations. its kinda a ritual.
